Pale Pink Roses... and things that touch my heart...

I don't do alot of decorating for Valentines Day...  maybe because our home is already full of the things I have gathered over the years that say "love" to me...  I didn't go out and buy anything new...  I already had all of these things that speak to my heart... I am truly most content with what I already have, and an occasional "new" vintage treasure every now and then... I love these things that make me smile...

Like pale pink roses on sweet little hearts... (the pretty little white heart with a pale pink rose was a gift to me from my sweet rose~loving friend June at Laughing With Angels)... and on beautiful vintage porcelain...  and on one precious little pup's pink collar... "pink roses... happiness, gracefulness...  gentleness and love"...  and pretty pink roses back on my bed for Spring ...  I bought this set some years ago at TJ Maxx...  I think it is called English Rose... I bought the two rose pillows (the one out of barkcloth and the one next to it) from Tara Frey back when she had her shop "Bella Pink"...  the "Home Sweet Home" rose pillow is Rachel Ashwell from Target years ago...

Making it the perfect place to dream...

Of pink roses, of course...

(My favorite jewelry... sprinkled with dried pink roses from my garden...   gifts to me from my sister, my nieces, Jack my love and vintage pieces that belonged to my mama)

I want to thank all of you for your heartfelt comments on my post previous to this one about my blog being featured in the February issue of Romantic Homes magazine...  your comments all mean so much to me... and I love you all... xoxo...  Julie Marie

Hi Sweetie,
Gosh, it's been soooo very long since I have even visited bloggy land !! Soo much has changed, and soo many girlies I don't even know anymore ... I had to stop in and let you know, I saw your pretty, sweet, blog read in my Romantic Homes !! Just beautiful Julie Marie .. You've always had the most gracious, sweet heart, and always loved your reads .. Soo true to your heart and what you love.
I have to say this post today made me feel soo happy, Love all the Pink and Roses, and everything girlie .. You know that's what I think changed my heart so much about blogging. Everyone has really changed up their decor and all to be like everyone else, and it made me soo sad !!
I guess I'm a true romantic at heart, and always stay with what I love and adore, everything else gets to be so trendy, or what sales and not !! I have nothing to sale, so, just stay with those around my home that share the same "loves" as me, popular or not, we dream and live each day in a PiNky, RoSey, romantic kinda way !! Thanks again for always sharing such pretties, and staying the sweet, wonderful you, you've always been !!
I'll pop in again soon. Take care sweetie, and have a happy, blessed, wonderful Sunday. I'm going to sneak a peek at all your pretty pictures again. This truly warmed my heart. Sooooo girly you are xo

Hugs as always ~Tanza~

Oh- so pretty. Julie Marie. You do roses so beautifully. I have to fight to get roses/flowers in the house...not real ones but on bedding, etc. I do use it in the guest room but not in our bedroom and I use it in our little sitting room.

I am still just so thrilled for you that you were in Romantic Homes. Do you know Donna over at Shabby Chateau, too? She is just a doll and she got a nod from RH this time, too.

I could not believe I did not have my copy yet and so I called and my subscription expired. I went all the way to Barnes/Nobles and they didn't have the copy in yet. WHAT????? Anyway, it should be there Monday and I have renewed my subscription now- Darn it all anyway. I renewed for three years this time...lol

Hi Julie Marie,
Oh this is pure romance and beauty.
I love all things pink as you know. LOL and this post just speaks to my heart with the hearts too. I don't do a lot of decorating probably because I have hearts around anyway. I may set out some candy hearts. Maybe!! Still watching the goodies after Christmas. LOL
Your bedroom looks simply gorgeous and so encouraging for warmer days.
Love the scattering of roses among your jewels. So pretty and wonderful to greet you each day.

Hope you are staying warm and feeling better. It is freezing here and I am bundled up trying to stay warm.
Wishing you a beautiful week. Much Love, Celestina Marie
