Okay... anyone who laughs at my little turkeys will be banned from my blog, tee hee hee!... not really... actually, it's okay to laugh... they make me smile... you probably think I made them when I was a little girl... I did... about two years ago... I will always be a little girl... and I will always giggle when something makes me... like these silly little turkeys... I made some for everyone in my family... even my niece's future mother~in~law fell in love with them, so I made her a set!... life is so serious and sometimes we need to just let loose and be totally silly!... (I do that quite often!)...
Can you even believe Thanksgiving is just one week from today?... we say it every year... once Halloween is over, Thanksgiving arrives sooo quickly!... then, before you know it, Christmas is here... our home is all decorated, but we don't turn our lights on everywhere until Thanksgiving Day night... it's a tradition... in the meantime... I am busy with plans and preparations for Thanksgiving Day...
What's your favorite part of the meal?... I love it all, but it's a tie between Jack's Nana's dressing I make, or my pumpkin pie... Nana's dressing is chock full of Sage and onions and the aroma in my kitchen that day is just intoxicating!...
Or is my favorite my sweet potatoes in brown sugar???... I am getting hungry now... are you?...
I also fix deviled eggs... another tradition... I love deviled eggs... do you fix those too?... another tradition is serving our meal on my mama's old Blue Willow china...always...
But the best traditions of all... faith... family... friends... and counting my many blessings... what are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions?... I would love to hear... xoxo Julie Marie Linking today with my sweet friend Debra at Common Ground for Fabulous Fall Fun...

Ahh, I think they're adorable! And you're right. Life is taken far too seriously sometimes.
My favorite Thanksgiving food would be Mom's stuffing with gravy, and then the deviled eggs. Deviled eggs are my holiday weakness, ask anyone.
Kristin
Oh- Cute! Cute! Cute! I don't think I have ever seen Pigs dressed as Pilgrims before. Your post makes me hungry for Thanksgiving all over again (we had ours last Sunday). Blessings to you today, my sweet friend-xo Diana
The walnut turkeys are sweet Julie-Marie. I love my mamas dressing. I hope I can make it. xo, olive
I love your turkeys, Julie Marie! I'm still a little girl that giggles, too...always will be!
I love everything about Thanksgiving (except worrying about the turkey cooking properly!) But my favorite thing is the Thanksgiving Casserole I make the next day...layering everything from the meal and heating it up until it bubbles and melds together soooo deliciously!
And I agree--faith, family & friends--absolutely the best part!
Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friend!
Julie
Sorry, Julie Marie - - At the risk of being banned from your blog, I have to say, when I scrolled down and saw your darling turkeys, I burst out laughing. My daughter and I loved them and want to make some for our holiday (if you don't mind). And deviled eggs! uummm Thank you for your wonderful blogs. I so enjoy reading them. Thanksgiving hugs for you and your family from Minnesota, Ruthie
I'm laughing cause they are totally adorable! they look like they have on tiny ties (their gobbler neck) too cute, Julie, and yes, you have me hungry for all that wonderful traditional food! gotta have stuffing/dressing, (which my mom makes) and some yummy deviled eggs! can you hear my tummy growling?
They are soo cute ! Everything looks lovely ! Have a good day !
Just too cute! Those turkeys make me smile :)
I miss Thanksgiving. I miss it so deeply I cannot begin to tell you, so I live my Thanksgiving vicariously through all the American posts I follow. Even though it is not a British thing, I took to it with great gusto for the 20 years I lived in America. My family was thousands of miles away, to them it was just another day, but my house was always buzzing with single and unaccompanied folks from the barracks and I cooked and baked to make them feel loved and appreciated, even though they were miles from home.
So, think of me, here, in the UK with a special evening (vegetarian) dinner and a proper Pumpkin pie, and if you aren't too busy, remember there is someone across the Pond celebrating too! C♥
Hi Ruthie in Minnesota... I would love for you to make some of those little turkeys!... email me if you have any questions.... I am sure you can figure it out from just looking at them!... walnuts for the body, hazelnuts for their heads... oooh, I am giggling right now... xoxo Julie Marie

Hi again Julie Marie, Thanks for visiting me...I got my drying rack back in April at Canton Tx from this vender.... http://laurieannas.com/ (I think $60.00) She has a shop there and will ship. Hugs, Penny
Oh Julie Marie,
Those little turkeys are soooo cute. Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is just around the corner. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is our families getting together. Since my youngest sister and I are married to brothers we share the same in-laws so Thanksgiving is always over at my parents or my in-laws...(every year they take turns) I am truly bless to have such a wonderful family, for that I am thankful. Sending you a great big hug my sweet friend.
