My Junque Sale Finds...

So, yesterday I went to the big junque sale at a local church... here's what I came home with... a pretty vintage roses cup... ten cents... a set of three vintage roses doilies... 50 cents...

My favorite find of all... a GORGEOUS book called "The Cottage Homes of England"... reprinted in 1984 by the British Heritage Press, exactly as it was written in 1909 by Stewart Dick with page after page of stunning pictures of original paintings done by Helen Allingham during that same time period...

I love old books, and although I would certainly love an original copy of this, I am thrilled with the one I got... one dollar...

The photos are just stunning of the English countryside...

I also found a vintage double~ruffled doily... I have wanted one for years and this is the first I have found... ten cents...

A beautiful lace tablecloth to put on a round bedside table I am still arranging... one dollar...

And last but not least, a beautiful tablecloth from the 40's (my favorite era in time)... one dollar... can you guess why I had to have it?...

It sooo reminded me of my special red roses that I started from the little shoot I took from my "secret spot"...

These are the last of their blooms... I had 19 absolutely breathtaking blooms on my precious rose this year... I enjoyed them in water inside some as well as in the garden, and have now dried all of them and will place them in a pretty apothecary jar, along with a sparkly vintage~looking rose tag with the date and the name on it... I named my rose "Julie Marie's Promise" since I did not know the name... so, that's it for my finds from the junque sale... oh, and my total?... $3.70... not bad, huh?... xoxo...
