Anticipation...

Soon... Gertrude will look like this...

This morning, I see teeny weeny little shoots of new growth on her... I can hardly wait... she truly is the beauty of my gardens... (photo from last years garden... Miss "Gertrude Jekyll")... Spring is on it's way!... xoxo...

  7. Truly, Gertrude Miss Jekyll is my most favourite rose of all . . I will never forget the display of many Gertrude rose shrubs in the rose garden at Tatton Park. The sight was usurped only by the incredible, old rose fragrance . . Magic!

  8. Hi there, Oh what a beautiful rose-I do imagine she is heavily scented. I no longer have long stem's in my yard but I do have a old fashioned variety that grows wild-love it! Thanks for reminding me that spring is just around the corner.
