Make~believe....

The weather here has been unseasonably warm and sunny in the day... no snow at all... perfect for long Nature walks and letting my case of Spring fever embrace me totally...

Then, this morning I awoke to at least four inches of snow... it is still coming down fast and hard... making the countryside look like a winter~wonderland... I admit it looks beautiful... but shall make~believe it is sunny and warm... and that I am going outside barefoot to water my flowerpots on my front porch... instead of pulling on my heavy winter boots and helping Jack shovel snow... this was my very favorite little pot of all that I planted last year... the pale lavenders and rich deep purples of some of my favorite blooms are so soothing to my soul... at least my thoughts will be warm and sunny today... wishing yours are too... xoxo...

unseasonably warm too in Wales . . and not so much as a snowflake or hard frost, only in the memory of winter 2010 . . such a pretty photo of your plants. Memories of spring that are just around the corner now . . .

Oh I love this post!! I'm making believe with you Julie Marie... I'm thinking spring. And speaking of spring, here in Western Md. we are getting spring-like weather and Gracie enjoyed a beautiful walk today.
Just think.. 2 months till Spring.

Hi Julie Marie,
It's so weird to look out and see nothing but bare ground in January here, but I am loving it!!! As you know I live near Sun Valley Resort, and they are not loving it at ALL. It has been so good not to have to drive on slick roads and skate to the door :)
My daughter and her husband are moving to St. George with his job Skywest so I won't be coming to Utah anymore :( However my daughter Em (who lives in Boise) and I love shopping in Utah, so who knows.
I am waiting for Spring along with you.
hugs from here...

Hi there, Well you got the snow before we did; it is due tonight and tomorrow and then Tues. again. I'm so enjoying the warmth and sunshine that the idea of shoveling snow isn't that appealing. Loved your plant.
Have a splendid day.

You just keep that snow in your state...I like not having any.
LOVE seeing all your beautiful flowers, looking forward to working my garden this summer, I haven't been able for at least two years, I had foot surgery each year and wasn't able to do any work.
Thanks for sharing

You get more snow than anyone I know! I remember last year you had quite a bit. But these past few days have been lovely~for everyone, I think. And it is supposed to be in the 40's this week. Yay!

Your pot is darling. I love all those purple and blues, too! And the birdhouse is darling!

Happy Weekend!

XO,
Jane

Hi Julie Marie,
Oh my, 4 inches of snow and more falling down. How cold is it? We were in the 60's today so I will try and send you some heat.
Your flowers are beautiful and just what I need to see for inspiring thoughts to paint by.

Our son was here today with a rare Saturday off and we all palled around and he fixed my computer problems.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and
Happy Sunday.
Hugs, XO CM

Hi Ju
I am with you wanting the Spring... It hasn't snowed in London at all but I just love Spring days... Spring is my fav Season in London and Fall in Utah.. I think I am happy when temps are in the 60s and 70s and that is just right... I hope make-believing makes you warm... Who knows Phill might say Spring is coming on FEB 2nd... I do think the snow looks so pretty though like you but I love to see the flowers blooming. Pretty Shot on this post. Love you Lots-Filly

It is a weird winter and I hope all this warm weather is not an indication we are going to have another year like last year. We have had nothing but a couple of insignificant snowfalls. Nice on one level of not having to deal with it, but it's worrisome for when a big one hits that it's going to make up for the previous lack of.

Julie Marie,
Thought I would pop over for a visit. So glad I did!
Beautiful photo. The flowers are just gorgeous!
It's quite warm here for the month of January. I'm holding my breath just waiting for the winter weather to break loose.
In the mean time... let's keep dreaming of Spring!
