Welcoming Spring...

My calender says the first day of Spring is Sunday, March 20th... growing up, it was always on March 21st... I know not why the date was changed, but I will gladly take it a day earlier... in fact, I shall proclaim today the first day of Spring at Idyllhours!... the sun is shining, the sky is blue... the Robins are singing their beautiful song... my sweet violets are covered in teeny buds... I want to just sit and soak up all the beauty this day has to offer me... life is too short to let precious moments drift away...with all that is wrong with the world today, we must still take time to remember the good things as well... and count our many blessings... so, come celebrate with me!...

"The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day He created Spring"

Happy Spring!... xoxo...

  1. If you say it's spring, than so shall I! Though it is a little harder to find here in MT right now. :) I am embracing the warmer temps and the more constant sun though. Soon my tulips will pop up above soil and the grass will come back green. Hurray! Like you said, in times of all sorts of worldy trouble, it's important to remember the good things, focus on the small beautiful things. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

  2. I am so glad that you are finally having some good weather! Seeing those little flowers pop up would put a smile on my face, too!

I did order a lot of Sweet Peas, didn't I!! I have several trellises and one package is for a flower box. When I see seed packets or catalogs, my imagination goes wild!!

Have a great weekend, Julie Marie!

    XO,

  12. Julie Marie~
I have been pondering that same topic: to take time to appreciate the Goodness around us, especially now when there is so much agony in the world. Part of me thinks it should feel guilty to enjoy my day while all those poor people have lost everything. Another part of feels differently. Hope you and Tess are having a wonderful day. xoxo Amy
