She May Be Lost, But She is Not Alone...

Faith, family and all of God's creatures... the top three biggies in my life... always have been, always will be... over the years I have rescued hundreds of God's precious little creatures... no brag... just fact... today was no different... I am so passionate about my love of animals and they can sense that... today, as Jack and I took our daily walk, we came across this beautiful little stray... running here and there, in and out of the road, almost getting hit...

I could see she had a tag of some kind, and I talked gently to her, gaining her confidence in me... animals are so much smarter than many people give them credit for (and alot nicer that alot of people too!)...she gingerly approached Jack and I, then would run... then I would run...she looked so scared and was so timid... but those big dark eyes said "please help me"... God sends these little creatures to me, I am certain of that... for He knows I will never, ever turn my back on them... Jack shares my love of animals and always stands by ready to help however I ask him to... finally, I was able to get ahold of her collar, then I took my muffler off for a make~shift leash... then she walked me and Jack to our home...and up the steps... she was cold and shaking, but I know she could sense that I would let no harm come to her...

We took it very slowly... just sitting in my bathroom (her new room for the night) talking and getting to know each other... ever so slowly she started to calm down...

Then we had a heart~to~heart talk, nose to nose... just the way I like it!...

I told her Jack would watch over her while I ran to buy some yummy dogfood and treats... (and a little stuffed toy hopped into my cart as well!)... tomorrow I will be able to call and find out from the tag who she belongs to... I can see she has been very well taken care of... and wants to go back home... wherever her home may be... a few more kisses on the nose for both of us, and she layed down to rest... life on the streets is so hard on an animal...

But I do think she is content to spend the night with us, safe and warm, tummy full of food, new toy close by... what do you think?... I am calling her Giselle for now... I really want her to go back to the people who love her... but I love her already too... before I return her to her home, I will interrogate the owners... how did she get out? ... why weren't they out looking for her?...is she current on her shots?... is she spayed?... sometimes in the past, I have kept an animal whose owner I find out is abusive... I don't think that is the case here... but you know me... I am a nice lady... but if you hurt an animal, I am your worst nightmare!... please think happy thoughts for Giselle!... xoxo

Awe - Julie Marie..you are such a sweet sweet lady! We recently had 4our dog attacked by two wondering dogs from another neighborhood. The two rushed in our garage where my husband was with our lab McCall, & bit her. It's been a $1500. injury nightmare with the owners of the dogs...Crazy about how some pet owners don't understand their responsibilities of owning a pet! Hope you find the owners are as sweet as you are! Hugs!

Giselle ~ a perfect name for such a sweet dog. I hope you find her owners tomorrow and I hope they can answer your questions. Giselle is a lucky dog to meet you and Jack. By the way, I like how Jack became photographer for this story. That's my kinda man! xoxo Amy

They just melt your heart. She is so precious. If I could take in all the animals I would. I rescued a very sick kitten last summer that got dumped on a busy street. He was about 11 weeks old and weighed only 1 lb 10 oz. After 6 months of antibiotics he is finally healthy and has been such a joy and has a personality that won't quit.
Blessings, Sue

Oh Julie Marie, we are so much alike, I do the same thing as you, if I see a stray animal, I just have to help them... we just had a beautiful little dog show up at our business about a week ago, my husband took her inside, she is the sweetest thing, house trained and all, but no one has been looking for her... so for now we are giving her plenty of love! I also have some stray dogs that were dump and I've been feeding them for months, the mommy dog, has since had babies all of which I took to a NO KILL SHELTER, after they were old enough, I'm still trying to get the mom, but not sure how I can, I think she would bite if I tried to get her,she gets really close to me, but if you move to quickly around her it scares her, I'm sure she has been abused... it really makes me sad that I have a place to take her, that they could really help her, and can't seem to catch her, she has skin problems, today when I went to feed her, her skin was bleeding from her scratching, and her eyes are getting infected, I pray every day that I will be able to catch her to save her life and also before she ends up with more babies! It just breaks my heart how people just dump them out like their trash, I will never understand how they can do this! I didn't mean to write a book, but this post is very dear to my heart, God bless you for taking that sweet baby home with you... and for making sure that the family that owns her is good to her before you let them have her! I knew you where a very special lady, but know I think your an angel.
Love you~~~ Daphne

Good Morning Julie,
Oh what a beauty Giselle is and how wonderful that you found her to take care of for the night. She could not be in better hands then with you and Jack. I hope you find the owners and they are every bit great people who just lost her recently. She does look well and groomed. Jack took great pics. I love seeing you talking to her. However the outcome, I know you both had a special blessing sent your way, even for a little while.

Yes, I know Miss B would make her a best friend right away.

Have a great day my dearest friend and thank you for being so special to God's little creatures.
Love, Celestina Marie

Hi Julie Marie,

I haven't visited you enough to learn that you share my love of animals. I too, have saved many and will continue to do the same.

Thank God there are people like us who will take the time to help them when they need it.

She looks well taken care of. I hope you learn who she belongs to.

As my hubby told me the right one will come along at the right time! Woke up one morning, and there she was laying on the carport after a storm. Needless to say she is our German Shepherd now as no one claimed her. It was the right time!

Awe, I found you over at Verde Farm, and you are just another angel here on earth. Anyone who takes care of the animals are the world's best as far as I am concerned. Wish you lived closer, and we could just start us a home for strays together. Thank you for taking Tess. Please stop by my place and meet Sophie Parsons, and check out my other babies. I am a new follower.
