Nature's Treasures...

Being the Nature lover that I am, I love to mix little finds and gatherings from our Nature walks with vintage treasures I already own to make pretty little vignettes...

I had this wonderful older wire cloche, can't even remember where it came from, but wanted to put it out somewhere... so I searched my little garden room and thought my little verdigris squirrels would look cute sitting by it... if you follow my blog (Merci!) you know how much I love squirrels!...
Next, I delved into my stash of odds and ends of mis~matched vintage porcelain plates and found the perfect one... a beautiful old one from Germany in the prettiest colors of Nature...

Made a little bed of moss in the middle, where three little acorn caps plucked from the thicket on our walk now rest...

"Nature is the art of God" ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I hope you too take the time to notice Nature... take a Nature walk and gather little finds along the path... then make something pretty for your home with them and I promise you these teeniest of treasures will brighten your day!... xoxo

  3. It's simply beautiful, Julie Marie! Although our 'nature' walks are quite different, I think we are both fulfilled by them. It was high tide this morning as I walked by the Bay and there is just a completely different look and feel to the water than low tide. It makes me happy to see the water each day. It doesn't seem to matter that I never actually get in it as it is too stinking cold for me, even in the summer!

    Love and hugs,

  4. Good morning my dear and sweet Julie Marie. I have been so busy lately I haven't had or should I say made the time to stop and "smell the roses." I have always drawn inspiration from nature's beauty and to me it has always been a visual reminder of how much God loves us. Thank you for reminding me of that. Oh, and love your little nature inspired vignette. Have a wonderful day.

    Much love,
    ♥Ana

I loved your 'I hope you fly' post. Such a wonderful message and something that we all need to do. Taking little risks and having a little more courage than before.

  13. Hi Julie Marie,
Oh so lovely! There is no better way to decorate than with nature! Can you imagine not loving flowers, nature, gardening and God's Creatures&Creations....Gardeners&Nature Lovers are the happiest people on earth.....I think because they are more patient, and spiritual...always connecting to the cycle of life. ( adorable squirrels )
    Have a glorious day

Love your little squirrels. We have so many around us and while they make a mess at times, they are cute as can be. Miss B does not agree!!
