Hi there! ... I have been having soo much fun running around photographing our local barns and getting ready for the "Barn Chicks" party on August 6th hosted by the lovely Karen at Brayton Homestead Interiors... I'm having such a good time, I decided I would do a giveaway on that date too... one of the gifts will be a brand new copy of "Western BBQ" recipe book...two winners will each receive a copy of this... the recipes look so mouth~watering, I bought myself a copy too! YUM! ... all you need to do to enter is leave me a comment starting with this post, and up to and including my Barn Chicks party post... I will enter your name in the drawing once for each post you comment on from now thru then... I do it the old~fashioned way too, I will have Jack draw the names from a hat... you may comment up to midnight on August 9th and we'll draw the winners and announce them on August 10th... more surprises to give away on the party post! ...
I will be doing a special post between now and then, honoring my mama who is now my guardian angel... my mama was one of the Queens for our State celebration, which is on the 24th of July each year... Nowadays it is called "Pioneer Day"... but in the year 1940, a pretty lady, my mama, and the two other Queens reigned over what was then called "Covered Wagon Days"... I can't wait to show you the photos from the old newspaper clippings I have... that was seventy years ago now... the 24th of July is a big day here in Utah... so I am really in a "Barn Chicks" mood! ... getting LOTS of freckles being out in the sun, but I am off to photograph another beautiful barn! ...
