I was not going to do another post until after Christmas, but my sweet brother~in~law just emailed me this photo of all of the gifts they are ready to drop off to our "adopted" grandmas and grandpas for Christmas... you can read my posts about them by clicking here and here and here... it is a bittersweet Christmas love story with a happy ending... the email said they could not fit one more package in the car... I am so grateful for all of the other caring people who adopted an abused grandma or grandpa as my family did... and to my brother~in~law Wes... thank you for organizing everything and getting the packages delivered...I love you Wes!... these sweet grandmas and grandpas are survivors... "Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us... and the greatest is Love"... I love you grandmas and grandpas and wish you the Merriest of Christmases... Bisous...
Oh Julie Marie... Sweetie this is just the most precious post. God Bless these little Grandma's and Grandpa's. They will be so tickled to be showered with so much love. Something they have not had a lot of. I can see them clapping and dancing, and squealing with delight over each gift of love that they open. Oh sweetie, you have made them so happy.
I love this pic. Please post again and let me know what the people thought of all of the gifts. Surely someone there will take pics and send to you all who so richly blessed these people.
Merry Christmas sweetie. I so love visiting with you, and having you visit me. You are a Godsend.
Wow, look at all those presents. You are certainly going to make some nice grandmas and grandpas very happy. You are all very thoughtful to be so caring! Merry Christmas Julie Marie. xo~Tracie

God bless you for sharing this inspiring story in your post and your brother-in-law for having such a love-filled caring heart. Love that photo and given the many boxes I see there I'm sure a whole lot of grandmas and grandpas will have a happy Christmas filled with so much love. Merry Christmas Rita
I had no idea. I went back to read your earlier posts. At Christmastime, there is always so much emphasis on children, but it should be for all children at heart. I can not imagine how cruel someone can be to an elderly person, much less that it is a family member. God bless you and your family for caring. All good in the world starts with one simple act of caring. Thank goodness for that, it is what keeps the world going. Hugs to you and your family. Merry Christmas.
I live in a peaceful, bucolic little rural town with Jack, my love of 35 years and Tessy, our beautiful English Pointer stray we rescued, who fills our home and hearts with happiness and love. Folks are friendly here and the surrounding countryside is beautiful... simple country pleasures make me happiest...my days are spent sharing laughter and good times with family and friends, tending to my old~fashioned cottage gardens and country home, daily Nature walks, my everlasting love for all of God's precious little creatures, daydreaming, and taking time to live each day to the fullest. I am of French and English heritage and I cherish the people, places, objects and events from the past, for they are all a part of who I am today. I hope you enjoy your visit to Idyllhours and will come back often... the coffeepot is always on... xoxo Julie Marie
