While on our morning walk today we passed these pretty Cosmos growing along an old wooden fence... Old~fashioned flowers are my favorite, especially Cosmos... they remind me always of being in my great~grandma Souder's cottage garden in Santa Fe when I was a little girl... these are for you, grandma...

I know what you mean about the old-fashioned flowers bringing back sweet memories. Hollyhocks do that for me, as well as lilacs. I think of my grandmother's yard and all the fun I had there.

Oh yes, the Hollyhocks remind me of my mother and she is still living. She use to play with them by the hours in the summer at her home in Ephraim Utah.
These Cosmos are beautiful also.
I really love plum this summer. Is that the fench by the famous roses?
